Established in 2010,
The shipyard was originally established as Nakilat Keppel Offshore and Marine (N-KOM) in 2008, and inaugurated on 23 November 2010 as part of the Erhama bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard complex.
The shipyard was rebranded as Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions on 12 December 2023.
